Finally! I got back to the book today. Health issues have had my mind a little off. I tried writing some the past couple of weeks, but when I read it today, I had to laugh! Every other word was not just misspelled... it was flat the wrong word! For example, did you know I had a character called 'and Sher'. Oh wait, that's supposed to be Aunt Sher. Well, you get the picture. I ended up deleting blocks of it. There were sentences that didn't even make sense to me. What was I trying to say? Hope it wasn't a great idea, because it's sure as heck gone now!
After deleting the evidence of the brain farts, and fixing the keeper parts, I refreshed my memory and began to proceed. I finished the chapter! Yea,me! Word count: 48,819. Yeah, long way to go... but at least I'm going!
I have made a resolution... Well, I made it long ago, but never paid it any mind. I dug it up and dusted it off... I must limit the time I spend in Blogville. Many of you may not know... I'm still reading your blogs, but not leaving so many comments. I simply can't keep up with it. I now realize how much my blogging has interfered with my writing pace. It used to be something I did in between writing. Somehow it became something I did, and if time permitted, I wrote.
I will still be visiting all the blogs I follow, but not on a daily basis. I will not, I repeat, NOT, catch up on everything I miss. That's my downfall. When I skip reading and just write, I come back to Blogville and read everything I missed! How is that working for me? Uh... not.
I am serious about my writing. I want so much to finish this book. I have ideas already for the next several manuscripts. I've got to get them out of my head and into my laptop.
Please don't forget me while I'm gone. I will miss you all...

Know how hard it is to read all the blogs I follow I can understand how much time it takes. And trying to catch up on what you've missed is impossible.
Keep on writing, I already have a place in line reserved for your first book signing.

You go girl! I'm thinking of doing the same. I've found that I write a lot less since I started blogging seriously. I've tried to blame it on the kids being out of school for the summer. But they are back in school now, and although I'm writing more, I'm still not writing as much as I did before blogging became a habit.
Lilly, that would be fine, go and finish the book. I know how much time it takes before we could catch up, so I wont make this comment longer for you to read. Good luck.

Hi Lily,You have to do what works best for you,so, Write away.Blogging can be addictive....so many nice ones to read, some how i find myself spending more time these days in blogland. It's nice to read and learn new stuff but we also have other things to do...so I understand.Have a nice week.
Hey, I know exactly how you feel.
Did you know that the average novel is 50 000 words? this my guide target for my novel. How long is a piece of string? Your bestseller will be as long as it needs to be. maybe that your novel is finished already? Just a thought. Good luck. :)
Always do what works best for you!!
Your book is your priority and that is where you should be spending your time. I hope you find the quality time you need. Some days it seems there just isn't enough hours.
OK, Lily, now I know. I completely understand and agree. I can't keep up either. To read all and write my own, I can be on here all day and I definitely don't have time to do that. I keep trying to figure out a good blog time schedule because I have to limit and time myself. I understand now the blogs that don't even allow for comments. And look at me, leaving this stupid long comment!
OK, back to that book, you.
